🎉 We have a tentative agreement! 🎉

Dear Parents and Community Supporters of United PCS,

As of August 27, 2026 — after 20 months of negotiations — United PCS is proud to announce we have a tentative agreement with the school! Our work together to advocate and organize resulted in improvements to working conditions that will help stabilize our staffing and keep our teachers at PCS.

We know there is much work to be done, but we are excited to see the first much needed raise since 2023, paid parental leave permanently in our contract, and a permanent reduction of days in our work year.

These improvements to our working conditions will help PCS better attract and retain the experienced and qualified educators our students deserve.

Below is a non-comprehensive list of the gains we have won in our tentative agreement:

  • 3.5% raise retroactive to 25-26 school year

  • 3.5% raise for the 26-27 school year

  • 7% increase to all stipends for extra duties and advanced degrees

  • Reduced work year from 190 to 186 days beginning in the 27-28 school year

  • Permanent inclusion of paid parental leave language in our contract

  • A seat at the table for decisions made about technology in our classrooms

We so appreciate the words of encouragement and support we have received from our families. Please keep an eye out for more opportunities to work with us for the PCS our students deserve.

-Greg Walker, UPCS President
